On December 17, 2007 at the general meeting of members of the Barnaul division of the Central Branch of the Interregional Public Organization “Russian Botanical Society” the decision on foundation of the Altai branch of the RBS was made. This decision was later approved by the Presidium of the Russian Botanical Society.
